Assignments #9 & #10

For assignment #9, I shot several images in between Columbia and St. Louis, as well as a couple shots in Quincy, IL.  I enhanced the contrast to create a dramatic texture within the black and white images.

For the 10th assignment, I focused on enhancing the color.

Assignment #8 - Macro

Perhaps one of my favorite styles to shoot, I shot these photos in my backyard.  I also used a macro lense on top of my camera.

Assignment #7 - Lighting

For this assignment, I used several different small light sources, such as a flashlight, a lighter, and a candle in a completely pitch black bathroom.  Lauren is the model.

Assignment #6 - Architecture

For this assignment, I photographed inside and outside of the Crestwood Starbucks (strictly for educational purposes).

Assignment #5 - Landscapes

For this assignment, I drove to Emmenegger Park in Kirkwood.  I tried to focus on aperture settings and experimented with what I could capture using different F-stops.  I managed to capture very deep and very shallow depth of field.

Assignments #3 and #4

For assignment #3, I photographed my boyfriend, Dane, and his friend, Graham, jamming in Graham's basement.  I tried to tell the story of a band practice and its progression.

Assignment #4
For this assignment, I took pictures of my friend Lauren.  I used the electronic flash to catch her tricks in motion.  The coolest part was when I reviewed the pictures after, they appeared to capture one continuous trick.

Assignment #2 - Portraits

For my second assignment, I was to take portraits and try to incorporate the subject's personality into the photo.  I feel I have done so with this project.
